Our labs are experiments in collaboration. Each lab gathers a small cohort of artists, scientists, technologists and community organisers for a residency that typically lasts two to four weeks. Participants share knowledge, develop prototypes and take part in public discussions. Past labs have produced solar‑powered weaving looms, biodegradable fashion accessories made from seaweed, community murals that double as environmental sensors and performance pieces that interpret climate data through dance. The labs often travel—what starts in Accra may continue in Amsterdam or Durban—and the results feed into our wider research and advocacy. By fostering unlikely partnerships, we aim to generate solutions that are both culturally rooted and scientifically sound.
