Every summer, Amsterdam becomes the epicentre of African and diaspora innovation. Creative Africa Week is our flagship event, combining runway shows, art exhibitions, design fairs and thought‑leadership forums. One evening you might watch models wearing garments dyed with waste‑to‑pigment technology; the next afternoon you could join a workshop on indigenous agriculture or a panel on decolonising fashion. We bring together policymakers, entrepreneurs, students and the general public to experience how African creativity can reshape global narratives and markets. Through the Royal Africa Fashion Awards, we recognise designers and brands that demonstrate excellence in sustainability, innovation and cultural storytelling. The week closes with a gala that raises funds for climate‑resilience projects and scholarships for young designers.
